Programme Description
General and specific objectives
Zois scholarships, awarded to gifted students, are part of the overall attention and care given to gifted students and are designed to encourage their talents in intellectual or artistic spheres.
 
Priority actions
The Slovene Human Resources Development and Scholarship fund provides varous types of financial support to the international mobility of students, researchers and secondary level students. Scholarsips, grants and study loans for tuition, living or other costs are allocated through calls for application according to the specific rules set in each call:
• Slovene students for graduate and postgraduate studies abroad and for foreign students for postgraduate studies at Slovene higher education institutions;
• Slovene researchers for research abroad, foreign resesarchers for cooperation with Slovene resesarch groups and Slovene researchers abroad for research or academic participation in Slovenia;
• Foreign secondary level students for the International Baccalaureate in Slovenia.

 
Management and coordination
The Slovene Human Resources Development and Scholarship fund takes care of all activities in connection with the awarding of Zois scholarships. Zois scholarships are awarded on the basis of a public tender published in May, at the same time as the tender for national scholarships.
