Programme Description
General and specific objectives
The aim of the the scholarship programme is to increase academic mobility to Finland and to support internationalisation of research and teaching and to foster links between Finnish and Indian universiities. The prerequisite for applying is that the visiting researcher must have established contacts with the Finnish host university. The Finnish university department wishing to host him/her applies to CIMO for the grant.
 
Priority actions
The CIMO India Fellowships are offered for post-Master’s level studies, research and teaching at universities and university research institutes in Finland. The scholarships are intended for Indian applicants who have completed a Master’s degree. Neither studies at Master’s level nor post-doctoral studies are supported in the programme. The programme is open to all academic fields.
 
Management and coordination
The prerequisite for applying is that the visiting researcher must have established contacts with the Finnish host university. The Finnish university department wishing to host him/her applies to CIMO for the grant. CIMO coordinates the programme.

Encourage academic mobility from India to Finland. Internationalisation of research and education by strengthening the cooperation between Finnish and Indian universities.
