Programme Description
General and specific objectives
The Finnish Government offers scholarships of 3-9 months for postgraduate studies, research and teaching at a higher education institution in Finland. The scholarships are based mainly on cultural agreements or similar arrangements between Finland and a number of countries.
Available across disciplines students must have a certificate in English proficiency and must have a signed agreement with the specific university department, whether to teach or study

Scholarships for post-Master’s level studies, research and teaching at a university or public research institution in Finland.
Management and coordination
Applications for the Finnish Government Scholarship Pool are made to the appropriate authority in the applicant's country. Each country can forward up to 10 applications each year for CIMO, which is the authority that co-ordinates the programme and makes the final decision over grants.
