Programme Description
General and specific objectives
• Promoting Spanish language and culture in universities abroad where teaching Spanish has been recently implemented
• Promote Hispanic studies by providing foreign universities with staff that can assess and improve the curriculum to that effect
• Update Spanish culture in those institutions teaching it
• Train Spain specialists in foreign countries/languages and professionals who will be able to teach Spanish as a foreign language
• Support Spanish embassies in promoting Spanish language and culture

Priority actions
The programme sends 200 teachers abroad every year, especially to universities in countries receiving ODA from the OECD and other universities participating to cultural development programmes with Spain
