Programme Description
General and specific objectives
• The Academy of Spain in Rome is an institution of the State General Administration, its primary aim is to contribute to the formation of creative arts and humanities, restorers and researchers.

• The grants for Spanish and Latin American citizens give them the opportunity to further study art at the Academy of Spain in Rome, in collaboration with the Rafael del Pino foundation.

One of the objectives of the project is to achieve a greater presence of Spanish culture in Italy, a better understanding of the cultures of both countries and greater cultural ties between Europe and Latin America

The programme’s training activities are include the following specialties:

Visual Arts:

- Painting
- Video-creation/production
- Engraving
- Sculpture

Others:
- Architecture
- Photography
- Music and Musicology
- Performing Arts
- Cinema
- Creation and literary criticism
- Aesthetics and museology
- Theory, analysis, and criticism of Fine Arts

In collaboration with the Rafael del Pino foundation, grants will be awarded in the specialty of Architecture in Restoration of Artistic and Cultural Heritage.

Number of participants: 20 (15 for Spanish citizens and 5 for Latin American citizens)
