Programme Description
General and specific objectives
Promote teacher and student mobility, contribute to building Europe and the European Higher Education Area, use regional academic mobility as a strategic tool to implement Bologna objectives, enable cooperation with SE Europe and the Ukraine, enhance the Central European dimension of university curricula.
Priority actions
- The development of joint programs for the intensification of the co-operation in the region,
- Establishment and Operation of a Central European University Network
- Student and Teacher Mobility Scholarship Scheme
- Student excursions,
- Intensive courses (summer schools, congresses etc.)

Management and coordination
Central CEEPUS office is responsible for the management of the programme on the international level. It works on a permanent basis.
There is a national CEEPUS office in each participating country that also works on a permanent. basis.

Expected or achieved outputs, outcomes and impacts
The CEEPUS “currency” is defined as “one scholarship month”. All countries participating in the programme announce their quotas once a year for the following academic year.
