Programme Description
General and specific objectives
To strengthen the ties between the two countries in the fields of education, culture, arts, science, technology, youth, sports and information
Priority actions
- The Contracting Parties agree to develop the relations between their two countries in the fields of Universities, Science, Technology, Handicrafts, Literature, Arts, Sports as well as information in order to contribute to a better knowledge of their respective cultures and better understanding of their peoples.
- Each of the Contracting Parties shall facilitate the admission of the nationals of the other Party to its Universities and Institutions and shall allow them to follow on its territory, in accordance with the laws and regulations in force, all professional training, studies and research.
- Each Contracting Party shall endeavor to include in its educational and teaching programmes ideas which will foster a better knowledge of the other Party.
- The Contracting Parties undertake to examine the conditions under which the equivalence of diplomas and degrees awarded in the two countries can be recognized.
- As regards education and training, each Contracting Party shall, to the extent possible, make available to the other Party, scholarships for teaching and further training of nationals in those fields to be determined by common agreement.
- The Contracting Parties shall facilitate the exchange of students, trainees, teachers, research workers, experts, technicians and lecturers or other personnel exercising an activity in one of the fields referred to.
- In accordance with its laws and regulations, each Contracting Party shall facilitate the access of experts, university students, research workers and teachers of the other Party, to libraries, archives, museums, research laboratories and cultural organization.
