Programme Description
General and specific objectives
Spread of interest in the Lithuanian language and support for students studying it.
 
Priority actions
Up to 10 state scholarships per year for foreign students studying the Lithuanian language abroad
 
Management and coordination
Ministry of Education and Science, Division of Academic Mobility and Continuing Education is responsible for the management and coordination. The Programme functions on a permanent basis since 2007.
 
Expected or achieved outputs, outcomes and impacts
Increased interest and promotion in Lithuanian language studies.
The total number of scholarships annually planned is up to 10, however, the number of scholarships awarded is subject to eligible applications: 5 foreign students were nominated for K. Buga’s state scholarship for the year 2007/2008, 5 students – for the year 2008/2009, 4 students – for the year 2009/2010.
