Increase co-operation of scientists, education and research institutions and research centres in Lithuania and Ukraine
 
Priority actions
Financing of joint research projects in several priority areas (e.g. Medicine, New Energy Sources, ICT, Nanophysics)
mobility of young researchers

 
Management and coordination
Joint working group comprised of representatives of the ministries involved:
1. in Lithuania:
Coordination - International Cooperation Division, Ministry of Education and Science.(MoES)
Management – Science Council of Lithuania (SCL)
2. in Ukraine:
International co-operation and European integration division, Science and Technology Department, Ministry of Education and Science, Ukraine

 
Expected or achieved outputs, outcomes and impacts
- Joint research projects implemented
- Increased scientific co-operation between two countries
- Contribution to the advancement of science and technology
Each ongoing joint research project has to be evaluated annually by each side (Lithuanian and Ukraine) to secure funding for the next year. In Lithuania, new applications and reports of the ongoing projects are reviewed by independent experts.
