Programme Description
General and specific objectives
To provide scientific co-operation between the three countries
 
Priority actions
- Initiation and promotion of joint research projects and a mobility programme, especially amongst young researchers
- Promotion of joint symposiums
- Support for guest lectures

 
Management and coordination
A co-ordination committee consisting of nine members from the three countries is responsible for the selection of project proposals and approving funding. Taiwan's National Science Council office in Bonn is responsible for the co-ordination of proposals and meetings of the committee.
 
Expected or achieved outputs, outcomes and impacts
- Joint research projects, joint symposiums and guest lectures
- Increased scientific co-operation between three countries
- Contribution to the advancement of science and technology
As a condition of recieving funding the following year, each ongoing joint research project has to be evaluated by each side (Taiwanese, Latvian and Lithuanian), each year.
In Lithuania, new applications and reports of the ongoing projects are expertised by independent experts. The MoES plans to undertake a comprehensive audit of the instrument in the near future.
