Programme Description
General and specific objectives
The purpose of this scheme for Danish lecturers is to diffuse knowledge about Danish language, literature and culture through financial support to Danish lecturers’ teaching in Danish at foreign universities. The purpose is accomplished partly by the dispatch of co-financed lecturers to foreign universities, partly by financial support and other assistance to other foreign universities where Danish is being taught.
Teaching and research in Danish language, literature, and Danish culture is taking place at approx. 100 universities in Europe, North America and Asia.

Management and coordination
The management and coordination of the Danish Lecturers Abroad is placed in The Danish University and Property Agency. The lecturers committee with members from the Danish Universities gives professional advice to The Danish University and Property Agency.
