Programme Description
General and specific objectives
The Danish government has introduced a scholarship scheme for Danish students who want to study abroad at high-ranking quality universities (according to the Times Higher Educational Supplement list but also other criteria may apply) for up to two years. The scholarship covers the total tuition fee or part of the tuition fee the Danish student may be charged abroad. The scholarship is granted to the student on the condition that they obtain full credit from the Danish university, where they are enrolled.
Priority actions
Increasing incoming and outgoing mobility is a government objective. In order to promote outgoing mobility the government has introduced this new scholarship scheme.
Management and coordination
The scholarship scheme is managed by SU-Styrelsen (Danish Education Support agency) which is an authority under the auspices of the Danish Ministry of Education. It works on a permanent basis or until a change is decided.
Expected or achieved outputs, outcomes and impacts
The objective is that a greater number of Danish students will travel abroad and receive high quality education at prestigious universities and obtain valuable intercultural competences.
